Linux Gold Corp. (OTCBB: lnxgf) New draft veto Ester
When I spoke to John Robertson, president of Linux Gold Corp. on the new property announced on October 18th near Fairbanks, Alaska, she seemed very happy.
"I can not say much. Homeowners high expectations and preliminary geology looks very interesting, but there are (NI) 43-101 compliant data available at the moment. Our consulting geologist (Qualified Persons under NI 43-101 *) took samples from various existing channels, and trials will be a few weeks. This is the first information we have is the 43-101. "
So, why Alaska and why now?
To begin, the gold resources of Alaska in all categories (measured, indicated and inferred) have increased slightly over 1 million ounces in 1985 more than 108 million ounces at the end of 2004. Of this total, more than 60 million ounces have been on the books, because the price of gold was under strong pressure 1997. Over the past ten years, Alaska has added to his bank ounces of gold "at an average rate of 8.6 million ounces years a discovery cost per ounce $ 3.36.
The Pogo gold mine is currently in production, while four gold projects, Donlin Creek, Rock Creek, Gil and Nixon Fork, are in advanced stages that permit or development. Alaska will add value to mineral production during the five years.
The reason for the excitement in Linux Gold is obvious. Ester vein is at the center of Fairbanks Gold District, one of the most prosperous Gold in North America. More than 10 million ounces of gold have been recovered from placer mining alone since 1902.
All one has to do is to examine the impressive progress of s Freegold Ventures Ltd. – Golden Summit property to get an idea the incredible potential. Golden Summit is located in the heart of the region, with over 6.75 million ounces extracted directly attributable to enjoy the water draining the Golden Summit project. Gold Summit contains over 80 known gold occurrences, and hosts the largest grain and historic gold producers in the district, with over 500,000 ounces of gold were produced in underground mines from 1902 to 1942 in classes averaging over 1 oz / ton.
History notes average of the two largest underground gold mines in the Summit were 1.3 oz / ton Cleary Hill Mine (281,000 ounces total) and 1.6 oz / ton in the mine Hello Yu (110,000 ounces of total production). Many mines were forced to close early in WW2 and never reopened, while others who have tried to reopen after the war simply could not handle mining once the groundwater has been affected, or when found bad ground (which is not a serious obstacle to modern methods of mining today).
Immediately after receiving the test results of the sampling program initiated in mid-October, Linux waste little time in drilling targets of selection to determine the nature and quality of Ester Creek deposit. Cautious investors to look carefully in this population, before drilling. A crossing of high grade of 1 ounce per ton should attract the attention of investors and fund managers.
For decades, hunters have been searching for the source of the gold that has been feeding the streams and river systems near where juveniles were found pleasure 10 million ounces to date. The owner believes that the property is Ester linked to this source.
A significant advantage of the situation of Esther (in front of the Kinross Fort Knox mine a few miles away, for example) is the low cost required to build a mill to grind the ore underground economic line of high quality – about $ 20 million. Kinross bass note / gt costs about open 750 million dollars – about 350 grams per day of production or $ 175,000 for the price of gold today. Linux Gold Corp. (LNXGF) trading below $ 1.00, there is a great opportunity.
