Prospecting for gold!??

Has anyone tried the UK or beyond? I have four children aged 10 to 16 and more traisping that trying to say "no you can not have another ice" and "how"? National Trust guardians entry, I thought maybe camping and panning for gold!? Please let me know if you know something about it as a leisure activity holiday. Ta.
