Gold panning in Alberta!?

I am interested in panning gold in northern Alberta. I was wondering if you need a license, what is the difference between panning and sluicing, where are good spots and is it possible to sell the gold I find for extra money. Also any other helpful advice or tips for beginners is appreciated. Thank you

No you need no license. You do need to declare the profit you make on your taxes.
