Will the price of gold go high than $1000.00/oz?

Will gold go higher than its recent record of $1000.00/oz or will the price of stay around the same price and than start to drop. Please use evidence to support your answer. Of course it will, when is the question (OH, it did today!) There’s no evidence to answer the rest of your question, at least not from any lefitimate source. Gold has never been a long-term investment that has been worth a hoot, but is the ideal protection of our currency. You may make a bundle the last 3 years but it could tank again down to the $400 range in a heartbeat with some fiscally sound decidions by our government. that’s the way it is, has always been and always will be. If you’re using gold to hedge other investments for the short term it may be ok, not prudent but ok. There are stock funds that invest in “hard assets” that will do much better for you than gold. They are liquid, cheap on a per share basis and contain none of the high markups for transactions that raw gold does. This might not be what you want to hear but it’s the truth coming from financial planner with 35 years of “hard assets” experience. Oh yes, I own silver, junk coins, not bullion, also pretty liquid and easier to peg movement wise than gold.
