if this means that back in the day one dollar was equal to one oz of gold.
And all of this bale out money and stimulus money- are we just printing money that will have little to no value? How will that help us wont that just hurt us and raise the price of everything…right or am i wrong and just not getting this?

i dont know where others get info saying “we are selling bonds” the word deficate (or how ever you spell it) means to barrow. barrowing from tax dollars not yet collected. the deeper the debt the worse the our country is. when we had surpluss we were better off. i liked bush but i hated the fact he gave away money that was surplus when it could of been saved for emergencies. collect the intrest on the surpluss cut our taxes. that was what i thought was better. but others think it was not good.
