Gold Prospecting Arizona

gold prospecting question?
I have a quick question about prospecting. I am going crevicing soon on a creek here in arizona. I have found a bend in the creek and a wall of bedrock. The bedrock wall is on the outside of the curve though. My question is, will i find anything? there are many cracks throughout the bedrock, and i was thinking that when it floods it might shove the pickers into the cracks. Am i right? pleae let me know.
Andy,
Sounds like your on the right track. When it floods the gold should go to the outside of the bend. Although some of it will stay in the middle. Also, start looking at the lower end of the bedrock and work your way up stream. Or, make an imaginary line down the middle of the stream when it was flooded and start just below where it would have hit the bedrock.
Hope this helps….let me know how you do.
