Gold Prospecting Maps

Ever taken a treasure map, and if so, have you found?
or has been prospecting for gold has asked for more?
When we were children we hide candy or toys and to make maps of the other (with the number of steps and direction). We have also met all the carnivals and neighborhood hold (with sideshows) again showing my age! I always wanted to pan for gold, there is a show on the Travel Channel called Cash and Treasures' I like to see, looks like fun.
